The Department of History at Swarthmore College is looking for a recent Ph.D. or advanced ABD to teach three courses in modern and premodern Chinese history during the 2017-2018 academic year. This is a non-tenure track and non-renewable position. Interested candidates should submit a letter of application, c.v., and three letters of recommendation. The cover letter should discuss the applicant’s teaching experience, style, and objectives, and describe their interest in teaching at a liberal arts college. In addition, the applicant should describe qualifications to teach students of diverse backgrounds. The Department will begin to review applications by March 1, 2017.
