POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of History at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas seeks a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in the history of the United States beginning August 1, 2022. Applications must be submitted by June 6, 2022.

Benedictine College has a full-time undergraduate enrollment of approximately 1900 students and is a mission-centered academic community. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include teaching four classes per semester, both surveys and more focused upper-division classes. Additional responsibilities include engagement in the life of the Department and College.

Education

The minimum requirement is a Ph.D. in History, which must be in hand by May 31, 2022.

Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience teaching U.S. history at the post-secondary level.
