The Department of Religious Studies at the University of Richmond invites applications for the Marcus M. and Carole M. Weinstein and Gilbert M. & Fannie S. Rosenthal Chair of Judaic Studies, a tenured position at the rank of Full Professor, to begin fall 2023. We seek applications for a position in Hebrew Bible or other ancient Jewish literature. The 3-2 teaching duties will include introductory and advanced courses, participation in the Department’s programs, and contributions to the University’s general education curriculum and interdisciplinary programs. The successful applicant will have a record of excellence in research, teaching, and service.
