Open Rank Faculty Position in the Preparation of K-12 Students for Civic Life
Stanford’s Graduate School of Education is seeking a faculty member of any rank who focuses on children’s preparation to be active participants in civic life. Approaches that address historical, sociopolitical, linguistic and/or racial contexts of civic engagement for populations that have been marginalized are especially welcome. There is a preference for candidates whose work considers improving learning for civic participation in and/or out of school contexts. Qualified candidates will be prepared to offer classes to pre-service teachers and doctoral/masters level students in one or more of the following areas: history education, social studies, civics education, ethnic studies.
