Assistant Professor – US Colonial and Revolutionary Era History
The History Department at the University of Texas at El Paso invites applications for an Assistant Professor of History focusing on early America to 1800 with possible strengths in African or Indigenous populations, women and gender, or ties to the Spanish Colonies or the Atlantic World, to begin in the fall of 2023. The successful candidate should be able to teach courses on the Colonial and Revolutionary Eras of the United States, and should have a robust research agenda that makes productive connections with Borderlands or Atlantic World History that will strengthen our PhD program. The department is known internationally for its doctoral program in Borderlands history.
