Description: The Department of Religious Studies at Claremont McKenna College (CMC) invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professorship in the History of Christianity, specializing in Renaissance/Reformation, Early Modern Europe and/or Global Christianity. The position will begin on July 1, 2023. The successful candidate is expected to hold a Ph.D. by the time of the appointment.
The successful applicant will teach courses in History of World Christianity, European Reformations, Religion and Politics in Early Modern Europe, and other related areas. The teaching load is five courses per year. The candidate must have demonstrated ability to maintain a high-quality research program and the highest standards of excellence in teaching.
