Assistant Professor of Late Imperial/Modern Chinese History
The Department of History at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) invites applications for a tenure-track position in the field of Late Imperial/Modern Chinese history. This is a tenure-track position with appointment at the assistant professor level, to begin in fall 2024. The Ph.D. is required; teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to research and publication in the field; possess strong Chinese archival ability and bilingual (Chinese-English) language expertise; be able to offer broad and specialized courses at the undergraduate and M.A. levels.
