Assistant Professor in History of Health, Medicine, and the Body
The Department of History at Colgate University invites applications for a tenure-stream position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the history of health, medicine, and the body, beginning fall semester 2024. We will consider applicants whose research is focused on Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, or South America. We are especially interested in scholar-teachers whose work emphasizes any of the following: reproduction; sexuality; disability; mental health; pandemics; race and the body; structural inequalities in health outcomes; or health activism. While health, medicine, and the body must be central to the applicant’s work, we welcome applications from those who also engage with colonialism and environmental justice.
