Position Description The Department of History at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenured Professor or advanced Associate Professor, to begin in the fall of academic year 2024-25.  The position is intended for candidates with an interest in promoting the study of Texas and Southwest borderlands history and a demonstrated ability to communicate academically rigorous historical findings to the public. Qualified applicants will be considered for appointment as holder of an endowed professorship. Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in History, and demonstrate expertise in the history of Texas or the Southwest, a record of peer-reviewed research commensurate with rank, and a strong record of teaching
