Review of Applications: Begin November 17 and continue until the position is filled
The Department of History at DePauw University invites applications for a Tenure Track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2024. Ph.D. in Latin American History (by the time of appointment) is required. A commitment to teaching undergraduates in a liberal-arts setting and evidence of effective and inclusive teaching are essential. Regardless of specialization, the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with Latin American and Caribbean Studies, including teaching an interdisciplinary introductory course for that program. Teaching assignment is six courses per year, and funding is available for professional development and research with undergraduate students.
The department seeks applications from candidates with a broad range of interests including, but not limited to, gender and sexuality, the environment, race, indigenous peoples, migration, resistance and resilience, human rights, transnational perspectives and the dynamics and legacies of multi-cultural encounters.
