Postdoctoral Fellowship in Diversifying Historical Epistemology
The Department of History at Brown University invites applicants for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in diversifying historical epistemology, in any geographic field or period of history. The fellow’s work should be grounded in a critical engagement with the politics of knowledge, foregrounding the relationship between histories of systemic racism or structural inequality and knowledge formation. While the fellow’s research should be historical, applicants with a PhD in allied fields are also encouraged to apply. The PhD, from an institution other than Brown University, must be in hand by July 1, 2024; applicants must not have had more than five years of academic employment since the awarding of the PhD.
