Visiting Assistant Professor of Nineteenth Century U.S. History
Bard College invites applications for a two-year visiting professor of U.S. History at the assistant level, beginning in Fall 2024. The successful candidate will be able to teach survey and advanced courses that also will be cross-listed in the American Studies program. Priority will be given to applicants specializing in historical periods before the early 20th-century. Candidates will be expected to be able to offer American history survey courses and are preferred to have completed all the requirements for the doctoral degree by August 2024.Bard is a selective co-educational liberal arts college located in the Hudson Valley 90 miles north of New York City.
