The departments of History and Religion and Culture at Virginia Tech seek applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professorship in Middle Eastern Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 3 courses per semester split between the two departments; these will include the 2-sequence course on the history of the Middle East, the introductory course on Islam, and other courses closely related to the successful candidate’s specialization. The VAP will have the opportunity to participate in research related to their specialization.
