The Department of History & Political Science invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor specializing in the history of the Middle East and North Africa, beginning January 9, 2025.  Candidates with additional specialties in African history, South Asian history, and/or the Islamic world are encouraged to apply.  Teaching responsibilities will include up to four classes a semester (4/3); this will include survey courses in Middle East and North Africa regional history, interdisciplinary coursework in international studies, and advanced undergraduate coursework in the successful candidate's area of specialization.  The position also carries the expectation that the successful candidate will assume a leadership role in the International Studies degree program.
