Tenure Track, Assistant Professor of post-1945 United States History, Immigration, Labor
The History Department at Fairfield University seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in post-1945 U.S. History, with a specialty in labor and immigration history to begin fall 2025, pending final budgetary approval. The area of expertise is open, but we are especially interested in scholars who connect historical patterns and practices with contemporary debates about immigration, asylum, and/or climate related migration. Teaching responsibilities are three classes (two preps) per semester. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at all levels of our undergraduate curriculum including introductory courses in modern American history, intermediate survey courses, and advanced seminars in one's specialty. Funding for this positi
