Assistant Professor in United States History, 1820-1860
The Mississippi State University Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track appointment in United States History, 1820-1860, beginning August 16, 2025. Teaching responsibilities are two courses per semester. Offerings include a turn in the US History survey and undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of expertise. Ability to participate in one or more of the department’s graduate Nodes of Excellence is a plus. See website, listed below, for more information about the Nodes. A Ph.D. in U.S. History at the time of appointment is required. Evidence of successful teaching and publications are preferred.
