Assistant Professor of Latino/a/x History
The Department of History at Georgia State University (downtown Atlanta campus) invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor in Latino/a/x History. The department welcomes applications from scholars whose work focuses on any aspect of the history of people of Latin American origin or descent in the United States. The position will begin in August 2025. Successful candidates are expected to develop an independent research agenda, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, supervise and mentor students, and participate in institutional service activities. Tenure-track faculty typically teach a 2-2 course load, developing upper-division undergraduate courses and graduate seminars in History and supervising graduate research for the M.A. and Ph.D. programs.
