Fordham University’s Department of History solicits applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in the history of the Civil War and Reconstruction, with an emphasis on the social, political, or economic events and relationships which defined that era. The position will start in Fall 2025. The History faculty at Fordham have a strong research profile with research and teaching interests covering the range of human experience around the globe for the last two millennia. All faculty are based either at the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx or the Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan, and teach a diverse undergraduate population, with opportunities for teaching and mentoring graduate students.
