The Department of History and Philosophy at Rider University seeks applications for a tenure track position as Assistant Professor in the history of Africa, including the African diaspora. The successful applicant will be expected to teach undergraduate courses in their specialized fields, a world history survey, and an introductory African-American history course on a 3-3 teaching load.

Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in History/Africana/African-American Studies required at time of appointment.
Evidence of successful undergraduate history teaching experience.
Ability to offer a range of courses to augment our curriculum geographically, thematically, and/or chronologically, along with world history surveys and introductory African-American history.
