Summary The History Department at Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of South Asian History position to begin in the Fall of 2025. While the field of specialization is open, the department is particularly interested in applications from candidates whose expertise is in the history of gender and sexuality and/or environmental history before 1900. Teaching Responsibilities The current teaching load is three courses per semester. Teaching responsibilities would include introductory and comparative courses on the history of Asia more broadly, as well as upper-level courses in the candidate’s fields of specialization.
