GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of Classics invites applications for a one-year term contract with the possibility of renewal appointment in ancient Greek history and/or archaeology beginning Fall 2025. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD) possible. Broad training in Classics and ability to teach courses both in Greek and in translation are highly desirable. The Department provides instruction in Greek and Latin language and literature along with history, art and archaeology, and a range of other courses in classical civilization. The teaching load is five courses over two semesters.
