Description The Department of History at Columbia University invites applications and nominations for a scholar to fill the Edward Said Professorship of Modern Arab Studies and Literature. We seek to hire a distinguished teacher and scholar in the field of modern history of the Middle East, with a focus on the Arab world. The appointment will be at the rank of tenured associate or full professor. Teaching responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate courses and involvement in Columbia’s Core Curriculum.
