Visiting Assistant Professor of History
The Bates College Department of History invites applications for a one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of History with a specialization in the history of China, beginning July 1, 2025. The successful candidate will teach five courses, consisting of an introductory survey (Imperial China), a mid-level course on modern China (China in Revolution), and three courses (one upper-level seminar and two mid-level courses) related to their areas of expertise that complement that existing curricular and scholarly strengths of the college.
