The Ohio University Department of History is hiring a visiting professor in US History with a commitment to student success. The era of specialization is open, but the person hired will be expected to teach upper-division courses in US Women’s History and US social and cultural history, as well as lower division survey courses in US history. The courses will be delivered mostly in-person at the Athens Campus, but there may be the opportunity to teach an online course in our Master of Social Sciences program. The teaching load is typically eight in-person courses per academic year on a semester schedule. This Visiting Professor position is a full-time, nine-month position for the academic year 2025-2026 (from August 16, 2025, to May 15, 2026).  History Department
