The U.S. Merchant Marine Academy invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of History positions. Our faculty teach eleven months (July-June) on a trimester calendar, balancing teaching, scholarship, and service in a unique and mission-driven academic environment. We seek scholars in the following areas: Position 1: U.S. Maritime & Naval History – Must be able to primarily teach History of Sea Power (U.S. naval and economic sea power) and possibly courses mentioned in position 2 below.
