Assistant Professor of History (US History)
The History Department at Hamilton College, a highly-selective, four-year, undergraduate liberal arts college located in central New York state, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in US history spanning any period from the eighteenth to the twentieth centuries, with a specialization in Hispanic/Latino/Latine histories in the US west or borderlands, and interest in related questions such as gender, race, sexuality, state formation, migration, indigeneity, law, labor, and/or citizenship. The new hire will be expected to teach both lower- and upper-division history courses in their area of specialization, in addition to participating in a survey of US history, and build curricular bridges to other departments, whether in the social sciences,
