Position Summary: The Department of History in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Early American History (before 1850) to start in August 2026. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment. Applicants should have an active research agenda with strong prospects for publication. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in American history by the time of appointment. The position carries a 2/2 teaching load.
