Assistant Professor, 9 Month Salaried, in Sub-Saharan Africa
The Department of History at Florida State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in history of sub-Saharan Africa to begin in August 2026. The area and period of specialization are open. The successful candidate will be expected to work with the department’s undergraduate and graduate students, supervise PhD candidates, and teach two courses per semester. A doctoral degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service is required.
