The Division of the Humanities and Social Sciences at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) invites applications for one tenure-track faculty position at any rank in United States History. We welcome applications from candidates working on the social and/or political history of the U.S., or the regions that it came to encompass. Candidates who can help build on our existing strengths in the social histories of law, power, institutions, economy, and empire are particularly encouraged to apply.
