Visiting Assistant Professor of History
The School of Social Sciences at Indiana University Southeast invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Early American History. This is a one-year non-tenure track position. Candidates must have a Ph.D. by August 1, 2026. The teaching load is four courses per semester (12 credits), with teaching expected in a combination of in person and online courses. Candidates must have the ability to teach the early and modern US history surveys, upper-level undergraduate courses in Early American history, and graduate courses such as Early American History and the Long Nineteenth Century for the collaborative IU online MA program in History.
