Korea Foundation Associate Professor/Professor of Korean Studies in the Social Sciences
The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University in the City of New York invites applications for the Korea Foundation Professor of Korean Studies in the Social Sciences. We seek a scholar who covers Modern Korean History to be appointed at the rank of professor or associate professor with tenure. The successful candidate will be appointed in the Department of History, working closely with the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures. Beyond teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Modern Korean History, the incumbent will be expected to participate in the activities of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute (WEAI) as well as play a leadership role at the Center for Korean Research, which is a research center within WEAI.
