Visiting Asst Prof in Late-Medieval/Early Modern Western Europe, Byzantium, or the Islamic World
The Department of History at Williams College invites applications for a two-year visiting appointment in the history of late-medieval/early modern Western Europe, Byzantium, or the Islamic world, to start July 1, 2025. We aim to appoint a Visiting Assistant Professor who will be responsible for teaching the history of Western Europe, Byzantium, or the Islamic world between roughly 1000-1700. The candidate should be a dedicated scholar with a Ph.D. in hand or expected by September 2025. The teaching load in the department will be two courses per semester, and faculty have considerable autonomy in developing the curriculum in their fields.
